carly had a great check up the other day, i cannot believe she is already over 2 months old! where does the time go??
she is over 11 pounds, in the 25% for weight, 25% for length and 50% for height!
hopefully she will be taller than me ( 5'3" ) : )
we had another hearing exam and this time she passed in the low tones for the right ear! yeah!!!!
i will take some pics of the girl when she wakes up!
she is a sleepyhead these days.

happy turkey day!

we had such a wonderful feast! nick ( a gourmet chef ) was sweet enough to cook us up some gobble gobble and make some gravy. we had sweet potatoes, fruit salad, honey baked ham, pumpkin pie, apple pie, ice cream and i made some peanut butter cookies with butterscotch morsels! we all feel like we gained at least 5 pounds. ( should have done a weigh in! haha )

it sure has been chilly the last few days! callie and i went outside to play today ( and take some photos- of coarse! )
while carly was sleeping! i had to get her bundled up because it was only like 45 degrees!!

eleven years

i am so excited to say Happy Anniversary to us ! jason and i have been married for 11 years . friday night we went out to cattle company and ate and ate and ate tehn we had dessert!
i had baked potatoe soup and salmon and rice and veggies and jason had prime rib, rice, veggies, lobster and prawns and then we had a giant brownie with hot fudge sauce and ice cream!!!!!!
what a treat.

after thanksgiving we are back to eating healthy but sometimes it is fun to eat what looks so yummy!

it happened........

okay callie has been trying to open the doors for a little while now, but today it happened.
i was getting ready for the day and callie was in her room playing. then i hear her opening the door and running down the hall and she comes into my room!!! i couldn't believe it.

six hours

wow! i am so excited ~ Carly slept six hours 2 nights now. she is 4 weeks old and growing so big. her normal sleep time is around 3 hours so that has been a real treat!

1. i love being up in the mountains where it is really quite and i can see the beauty of what God created all around. it is here where i feel close to Him and i enjoy photographing the natural beauty all around me.
2. my family:
jason~ the love of my life..his zest for life.. humor.. driven .. encourages me to get out of my comfort zone and push the limits.. husband.. father.. friend.. best friend.. i love watching him play with our baby girls. tenderness.. super cute.. makes my heart thump..so many more reasons i am so grateful we are together!

i just cannot get over the sound of callie running thru the house with her feet going pitter patter down the hall. it is music to my ears. i am excited to watch carly get bigger to join her sis in running thru the house and getting into everything. they sure are keeping me busy!
4. my photography gift:
i thank the Lord for all of the blessings in my life, but i am so grateful for an eye to capture some very beautiful moments i have seen. i truly think life looks so much sweeter thru my lens and it is what i get to share with others.
5. the fall season:
my favorite time of the year. it is so beautiful everywhere you look. the colors of the leaves. the coolness in the air.
getting to wear warm and cozy clothes.
6. the beach:
i love getting to relax on vacation and feel the warmth of the sun and the sand between my toes. jason and i would love to move to hawaii some day to enjoy that feeling every day and have our girls become surfers. we love laying on the beach with no cares in the world. falling asleep next to the ocean from the sound of the waves crashing. things will be different now with having two kiddos, guess we can't just fall asleep at the beach anymore!
7. friends:
i love my friends. i wish i had more time to really hang out with them. that is a goal of mine to make time for others.
8. music:
i just love it! worship at church, feeling like it is just me and God to go thru a millon thoughts.

23 days

i took these today. the lighting was really nice on my bed next to our window. carly is being a really good girl! she is sleeping 5 hours at night before she wants to eat!

yeah! it happened!

finally we got callie to sleep in her new big girl bed!
after a week of her playing around and not staying in her bed, she is now staying in there!
it was bad, she would cry, fuss, kick, scream, kick the walls, bang on the door : )
yell mum mum! then she would fall asleep on the floor ( i know how sad! )

yeah! we are so relieved that it isn't a fight any longer.

pumpkin patch fun!

we got to enjoy a sunny day fall day and went to the pumpkin patch. i can't believe there were actually a few left! although we did see a lot of rotted pumpkins and brown corn stalks!!! oh well, better late than never. callie had a good time even though she looks very serious in most of the shots we took. i think she was checking everything out !

Thank you all for your prayers and support over the last few weeks! We had a quick delivery and everything is just fine with our new baby.

good news!

everything looked great at my appt today. i have a scheduled induction at 6:30 am tomorrow morning. i am already dilating so hopefully things will go smooth and i won't need any of the pitocin or other meds to get things rolling!

it's scheduled!

well......... my appt went well today, i have another on wednesday and then thursday is the big day. ( unless things happen on there own ) so the baby's bday could be october 18.
i was ready to stay at the hospital today and meet our little girl, but it looks like i will have to wait.
thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers.

okay... so what's your secret???

i can't seem to get callie into her new bed! she thinks it is some kind of game and soooooooo funny! ( although i am not the one laughing! ) so mom's please do tell! after i try for a while with no sucess, she ends up in her crib where she doesn't fuss, complain or nothing and then....... she is OUT! fast asleep.
i so wanted her to be in her new bedroom BEFORE the baby came....... doesn't look like that is going to happen!

good news!

i had my appt on thursday my fluids are up! 8 cm and my other tests had good results too. we will have another visit to the peri and more u/s and testing on monday oct. 15 and that will start week 37 for me. i am sure baby will be here this next week! thank you all so much for your prayers - we are doing really well and excited to meet our new little girl!
she still needs a name though! hahaaha

more updates

wow, what a bit of a stressful week we have had.
we had some testing done at our appt on monday and things looked pretty good ( baby movement and such )
my doctor gave us some options and decisions need to be made.
depending on how my appt goes on thursday ( baby stress test, fetal monitoring and fluid check ) we may either be going straight to the hospital or scheduling an induction for monday october 15.
i will be just starting my 37th week.
my fluids are at 7 cm right now and basically if they are at a 5, then we would be going to deliver the baby.
if all is well on thursday i can either set up the induction appt for monday ( knowing there is a chance the baby may be in the NICU for a few days to a week ) or i can wait and have another appt on monday to check everything and then decide to set up an appt . it is all going to happen within a few days of each other regardless.

we would be asking for your prayers for this to happen for our family:
thursday appt goes well, fluids are up to a 10, i could wait and not set up an induction appt. i would have appts next week to keep monitoring baby and then at 38 weeks ( oct 22 ) my body would naturally go into labor . baby wouldn't have to go into the NICU.

oh! and we thought callie had gotten the chicken pox over the weekend she broke out in a rash, but on monday's appt the said it was a reaction to her antibiotics from her ear infection. my poor little girl. good news now is no pox, and no rash!

Baby Christ Update

Hi everyone, we just got back from the doctor visit and my fluids are down a bit from 3 days ago . they were a 9, then 8 and now a 7 . the perinatologist wants me to be monitored 2 times next week and said i most likely woudn't be going past 37 weeks before they would just induce me due to my fluid levels.
it is going to be real soon that we will be a family of 4!!!!
please keep us in your prayers for a healthy baby and safe delivery!
